STRUCTURAL PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS
Produced by an expert structural engineer, the plans and specifications summarize all the information essential to the design of structural elements in the context of a new construction, an extension, a modification to an existing one or a renovation. That is a requirement and a guarantee for meeting statutory building requirements as defined by the Régie du Bâtiment du Québec and construction standards.
FOUNDATIONS AND RETAINING WALLS
Foundation walls are the “basis” of your building. Invisible but so important, they must withstand the load of the building and resist pressure and water infiltration. Likewise, retaining walls are vertical walls enabling the containment of useful soil to protect roads, to prevent landslides, etc. Foundation and retaining walls are subject to strict regulations that only engineers can provide you with.
SUSTAINABLE URBAN INFRASTRUCTURES
Bigger, taller, denser, more energy-consuming… today’s buildings put great pressure on the environment. In Québec, as everywhere in Canada, rain and snow exert strong pressure everywhere in the territory. Water management has therefore become a major societal problem. The development of rainwater or wastewater transport flows (drainage) is a problem and an issue for an eco-responsible society.
